Update to phone system

Please note the following which will take effect from Friday 12th April 2024:

Inverurie Health Centre

Option 1 – this is the option for urgent medical assistance and is available for patients between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Option 2 – the option to speak to a receptionist will be available from 8am to 1pm and from 2pm until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Out with these times (1pm – 2pm and 5pm – 6pm) will be for urgent contact only. We know from feedback received that access to the Practice via the phone lines can be challenging. Our aim is to have more staff available to answer the phones within the above times. The periods between 1pm – 2pm and 5pm – 6pm will be used for administrative tasks. Please note that if you have joined the phone queue just before 1pm or 5pm then your call will continue to be in the queue and then answered and actioned after these times. Your call will not be cut off.

Option 3 – this is the option for other health professionals to use to contact the Practice team. This remains the same.

Option 4 – this is the option to access results. This is available between 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Option 5 – the option to speak with a member of the pharmacy team will be available between 10am – 2pm every day apart from a Wednesday when it will be available between 10am – 1pm. Out with these times the Pharmacy team will action the prescription requests that come in via the answering machine and online and also deal with all administrative tasks. Patients calling with routine prescription queries will be advised to call and choose option 5 during the above hours.

Kintore Health Centre

Please note Kintore Health Centre phone line will be available between 8am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am – 1pm on a Friday
